Martin Poole
Director of Apprentice & Training 

Martin has been a member of the UBC for 31 years. He spent 21 of those years working with the Pre-Apprenceship Program for the International Training Fund. He served 4 years in Apprenticeship.

Chris Morrison
Training Center Coordinator
 
Chris is a journeyman carpenter with the UBC.  He is responsible for all aspects of the training center including core curriculum, training classes and certifications, as well as the management of the student body.  His background is in project management, and business.

Scott Kelley 
Training Coordinator 

Scott has been a 13-year member in the UBC. Upon completing apprenticeship, in 1994, Scott was asked to participate in the apprenticeship competition, where he went on to win the International Apprenticeship Competition. Scott is serving the Brotherhood in the capacity of Training Coordinator. He has several certifications such as CPR/First Aid, Interior Systems, Fall Protection, Lift Truck, OSHA 500, and is adding to this list with other Industry Certifications on a monthly basis.

Mariana Carlstrom
Office Manager

Mariana was born in Ecuador, where she was a CSR, Asistant Manager and Business Manager for Reuters. These positions, and Mariana's multicultural abilities, make her a great Office Manager at the ACJATC. She loves to work with people as much as she loves music and nature. Mariana is married and has a daughter which attends Emory University.

INSTRUCTORS

Sam Cooper

Sam has been a member of Local 225 since 1978. He has supervise construction work at: MARTA Lines, Atlanta International Airport, Lenox Mall, just to name a few. Is married and has two children attending the University of Georgia. In his spear time he enjoys scuba diving and golf.
The certification that this lead instructor has, such as OSHA 500, Concrete Construction Forms, Hilti, Fall Protection and Forklift, and his multiculture experience training both: English speakers and Hispanic Speakers in one classroom, has made this journeyman one of the best assests the Local has.

Lino Villagra

With more than ten years experience as a professional Carpenter, Lino is a Lead Instructor, Certified at the Carpenters International Training Center, in Las Vegas Nevada, Lino is teaching Latino members interior systems, scaffolding and safety practices. He is married and has three children.

Barre Allen

Carl Jackson

Johnnie Carmichael

Johnnie brings an expertise in concrete to the brotherhood.  He has a unique abilty to teach by example.  He has numerous certifications, as well as many years of hands on training.  Johnnie can be reached at jcarmichael@atlantacarpenters.com

Jose Quintero

Jose brings versatility to the brotherhood.  As an interior specialist instructor, Jose is able to teach and train our latino members.  His specialties include Drywall Skills, Acoustical Ceilings, and Soffit Framing.  Email Jose at jquintero@atlantacarpenters.com
